In the midst of a large virtual Battle Ex (read - computerized) When the power failed. Now concerning myself with thumb twiddling & waiting.
After a somewhat miserable day spent getting soaked, some welcome news. Our beef order is ready Thurs. Great day for me poor day to be a cow
Last day of ranges compete. plus 2 and beating down rain all day. that is all
8 hours on the range today while nursing the pain that comes with being a Blue Bombers fan. I would ask for a padre but he’s an NFL fan.
In an hour or so Tass and I are off to watch the Bombers play for the Grey Cup…managing expectations http://bit.ly/sbeSiK
Last night went to a good friends Birthday celebration and then watched special edition of LoTR on BluRay (well worth it by the way). Today I work and then watch the Blue Bombers take home the cup.
Montreal Smoked Meat Sandwiches!!!!!
Dinner today was panini grilled Montreal Smoked meat sandwiches with real Dunn’s Smoked meat, Emmental cheese on home baked bread.
Friday draws to a close.
Ottawa today. no sushi , no bookstores. However,Donna & I had a great time together. tomorrow we plan to go nowhere and do nothing all day

Another busy day running Ranges. Laugh for today - A MCpl ordered a group to line up, a small voice from the back row - “fascist”
Torchwood Finale = Great but now I wait
I finally watched the last two episodes of Torchwood, It was absolutely great but I’m pissed I’ll have to wait months for the series restart.
Sara Drummond, large boobed traitor, is, in the last 5 minutes discovered and dealt with. Absolutely great stuff and balance is restored to the force.

Pleasant day spent making sure training went well. For the next 10 days I’ll be in the training area and not in my office :)

Tonight I worked on Range stuff for this coming week and made ThaiChicken wraps w/Coucous on the side, The Thai Chicken sauce was excellent and coucous was a pleasant surprise. ( I Thought it was a grain or rice and it turns out to be more of a small bit of pasta)
All Ranks Dance went very well, Off to Church this morning & a really fun Leliefontein week draws to a close. Then start X-Mas planning.

Wine night - Lunenburg Cherry
Donna & I are getting low on wine so logically we broke out one of our last remaining bottles tonight. Local NS wine but really good. Its always a risk buying local wine but we almost always do in order to support the local industry. Local wine especially fruit based can vary greatly but this cherry flavoured goodness from the eastern shore is really enjoyable.

I ordered a Schnitzel with sautéed mushrooms and some fries on the side. I would have prefered a nice plate of spatzel but hey you take what is on the menu. For starters we has showed up yesterday at the location and had been told all they had at the moment was brewed coffee....
Watched the first episode of Terra Nova, liked it. At least it didn’t try to be thought provoking or challenging. Nothing to harsh my mellow
